Enjoy a scenic ride along the Sangamon River Valley. Savor the classic designs of Allerton Park and its landscape gardens. Pause to admire and learn of the legend of Buck's Pond in Lodge Park. Spend a pleasant, fun-filled day in Monticello! Climb aboard a historic passenger coach at Monticello's circa 1899 Wabash Depot or visit the Railway Museum, near I-72. Take the kids to Nick's Park or just enjoy the beautiful architecture in town. There's something for everyone in Monticello.

Join the Monticello Lions Club in raising money for the Monticello Lions Club College Scholarships to benefit Monticello High School graduates!

The 14th Annual Sangamon River Valley Bike Ride will be held on
Sunday, May 16, 2010
starting on the court house square in Monticello, Illinois.

Riders of all ages are invited to take part in this event. We require that all bikers 12 years of age and younger be accompanied by an adult and must wear helmets. Riders may choose between 16, 25, 35, and 46 mile rides.

Registration fee is $20.00 per person or $45.00 per family. Family means living in the same household. Fee includes lunch, which is served at the courthouse square from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

16, 25, 35 and 46 mile rides

*Riders starting before 8:30 a.m. or finishing after 1:00 p.m. may not find chase vehicles on the routes or the rest stops open.
